Exciting Sportswear Company is looking for a Controller

Nesco Resource, a national staffing company, is seeking an experienced Controller.*

$100K - $140K

Responsibilities :

• Manage financial operations, including General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and account reconciliation.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing feedback and supporting professional development.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, establish credit terms, and monitor collections, including international credit.
• Manage Accounts Payable, authorize vendors, and approve payments.
• Review and analyze sales, inventory, cost of sales, and gross margins, working closely with related departments.
• Forecast cash flow (short- and long-term) and manage banking relationships, financing, and bank covenants.
• Develop and manage budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections, coordinating with other departments.
• Prepare detailed business analytics in collaboration with Sales and Operations.
• Develop business metrics, KPIs, and internal reporting for senior management.
• Oversee international financial operations and manage gross margin analysis and inventory costing.
• Coordinate audits, reviews, and maintain relationships with external auditors.
• Develop financial and tax strategies to ensure compliance with government reporting and tax filings.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures and supervise contract negotiations.
• Identify and report financial risks; recommend performance benchmarks.
• Evaluate financial systems for accuracy and control, recommending improvements as needed.

• Proficient in financial and reporting systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work professionally with diverse personalities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to align with organizational priorities.
• Decisive and results-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in high-pressure settings.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
• 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally including work with major retailers.
• Experience in both public and private sectors is a plus.
