SUMMARY
Dan Luna Exceptional Woodworking is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter / Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and schematics using Cabinet Vision software.
This position requires a strong understanding of custom cabinetry and millwork manufacturing for high-end residential homes .
The CAD Drafter / Detailer will play a crucial role in bringing projects from concept to completion and ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and detail out the designer's plans for cabinet and millwork manufacturing using Cabinet Vision software
- Create shop drawings and cut lists for manufacturing
- Create 3D renderings to aid in project presentations
- Collaborate with other team members
- Requisition of materials
- CNC programming
- Assist with field measurements and takeoff
- Ensure accuracy of drawings by conducting thorough periodic and final checks
- Maintain organized documentation of all design files and revisions for future reference
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years experience with cabinetry design software (required) (Cabinet Vision preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacturing of cabinetry and millwork from machining through assembly (required)
- Experience installing custom residential cabinetry and millwork (preferred)
- Ability to read architectural blueprints and product schematics
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting, detailing techniques
- Ability to create detailed schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills
- Extensive knowledge of mathematical and geometrical concepts formulas, and calculations
- Ability to take initiative and be creative at problem-solving
- Effective communication skills
- Pleasant with others, displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude
- Must be flexible, and able to change direction on short notice
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in CAD (preferred)
