Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a school setting near Renton, WA.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve their munication and language goals and will have experience working with children in an educational environment.
The SLP will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide high-quality speech and language services to students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct prehensive speech and language assessments to identify students needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Therapy and Intervention : Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language, and social munication skills.
- Collaboration : Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and support students overall educational progress.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
- Consultation : Offer guidance and support to school staff and families on strategies to improve munication skills and manage speech and language challenges.
- Professional Development : Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington.
- Certification of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of current speech and language assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
