We are looking for a Principal Engineer-Network Management to help us define and lead the development of this leading-edge platform and applications.
Responsibilities :
- Act as an expert and the go-to person in Juniper products (routers, switches, firewall, gateways), network topologies and their deployment options.
- Work with a small number of architects to design a complete and complex cloud-based network management system; provide documents to specify architectures, procedures and processes in software development and testing.
- Provide support to PLM with respect to awareness of deployment, use of technologies, and discernment of the value of ideas.
Work with PLM to understand customer needs and turn that to product features.
- Design, develop and test critical software components.
- Troubleshot customer issues and provide effective short-term and long-term solutions.
- Contribute to standard methodologies; evaluate and recommend new technologies to bring into the platform.
- Participate in planning, estimation, prioritization and cost-benefit analysis for projects.
- Mentor team members including senior engineers.
- Understand industry trends in network automation areas and provide advice to sales and customers.
Minimum Qualifications :
- BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and influence their technological direction with a combination of hands-on work and technical leadership.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and architecting & building for security & scale & performance.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools such as Git, Jenkins, and code review tools.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container management solutions.
- Working knowledge in TCP / IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and other networking protocols.
- In-depth knowledge and development experience in the relevant areas.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with public cloud systems - AWS, Google or Azure.
- Experience with Kubernetes lifecycle management.
- Background in gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
- ML analytics and / or data sciences.
- Automation, Python, Ansible, YANG.
- Juniper Networking switches, routers, and firewalls, like MX, SRX, NFX, EX, QFX.
- HTML5, JavaScript, React as a plus.
Minimum Salary : $207,200.00
Maximum Salary : $297,850.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $207,200.00 and $297,850.00 / year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave.
