Role Overview :

Responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to keep team members productive and information secure at all times.

The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for identifying and resolving root cause issues and solving day to day hardware and software support issues.

Also serves as liaison between offices regarding IT issues and our outside IT consultant.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Create and maintain IT documentation
  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines
  • Provide onsite and remote support for users in headquarters and all branch offices
  • Install software, patches, and updates on desktops, laptops and servers
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and replace hardware on desktop and laptop PC’s
  • Install and configure new hardware and software
  • Perform desktop maintenance, resolving problems; assist with printer / fax / copier maintenance
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Office products, other desktop software, and assist with phone systems
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
  • Add, remove and update user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
  • Answer technical queries
  • Troubleshoot reported problems
  • Recommend and / or perform upgrades on systems to ensure longevity
  • Assess functional needs to determine specifications for purchases. Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.

Order computer supplies.

  • Serve as liaison between offices to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
  • Present technical information in understandable form for non-technical recipients
  • Actively collaborates with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned
  • Follows established work rules, policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications :

  • A High School Diploma required, with a 2-year degree preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • High Attention to Detail and Accuracy

Preferred Skills :

Team-oriented, professional, self-starter with a positive attitude and multi-tasking capability.
