Job Title : Financial Analyst

Reports To : Chief Accounting Officer

Job Summary :

Provide sound business solutions to Firm leaders in order to drive operational efficiencies and support Firm strategic initiatives.

Partnering with the CAO to provide vision and strategy for financial analysis, this role will collaborate with each Service Area as well as Integrated Services to manage and extract relevant data, create reports and data visualizations and monitor success targets based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Job Responsibilities

• Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
• Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
• Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets
• Develop, implement, and maintain analytics processes and systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and Firm benchmarking
• Prepare and present reports on financial performance, including variance analysis and key metrics
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by providing detailed financial analysis and reconciliations
• Report, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and reporting as requested
• Collaborate with the Data Governance and Data Strategies teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Work directly with leaders and end-users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
• Work closely with project owners as a strong business advisor by seeking to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
• Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
• Assist the CAO in the development and implementation of data analytics tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Work with organizational leaders to evaluate Firm methods and recommend source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets
• Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
• Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and work with Firm leaders to develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and accounting

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the accounting or finance industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with accounting software such as similar to Sage Intacct.
• Familiarity with financial planning and analysis tools such as Adaptive Insights or Anaplan.
• General knowledge of programming languages such as SQL is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.

While performing the duties of this job the employee will regularly be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift and / or move up to 25 lbs.
