ActioNet has an opportunity for a Data Center Manager requiring a Public Trust clearance in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Hybrid work is available. You will play a multifaceted role and be the main Point of Contact (POC) to oversee the management of day-to-day operations, maintenance, and new installations within our data centers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive data center management experience and a strong understanding of IT infrastructure.

The right candidate will work well with a team, exhibit excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and seek ways to improve the environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations and maintenance of the data centers, including planning and coordination, ensuring high availability and performance, managing staff and vendors.
  • Manage new installations and upgrades within data centers.
  • Ensure data center infrastructure is reliable and efficient.
  • Collaborate with other teams to support data center operations.
  • Develop and implement data center policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.

Basic Qualifications (required) :

  • 8+ years of experience in data center management, including managing and leading large multi-cloud hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and data center operations.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred :

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, or related field.
  • ITIL 4.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Centre Expert (CDCE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data Center, Project Management Professional (PMP)).
