We are seeking a Jr Systems Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of the organization's technology infrastructure.
This position requires a strong understanding of computer systems, basic networking, and software applications, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support and assistance to staff across the organization.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Upgrade and maintain operating systems and software modules.
- Develop and implement procedures for information system operations.
- Collaborate with public safety and municipal staff to ensure effective use of technology.
- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical staff.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and developments.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in information management services and network administration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts and technologies.
- Proficiency in Windows 10 / 11, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V), telecom systems, VoIP,.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with non-technical staff.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Customer service-oriented approach.
