Job Purpose : Manage the company’s industrial electrical systems for both facilities and machining operations. This includes overseeing new installations, ongoing maintenance, and actively participating in process planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Education and Experience : Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent certification for State / AHJ.
- Knowledge : Understanding of electrical codes for industrial settings, machine installation and repair, machine controllers, and building construction and maintenance.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic controls is preferred.
Skills & Abilities : Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams, wiring power for 120VAC and 480VAC systems, installing conduit, and PLC and equipment control wiring (480VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC).
Experience with wiring control devices, sensors, switches, actuators, solenoids, and maintaining DC and single / three-phase AC motors.
Competence in handling variable frequency drives, servos, and encoders. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Wire power to machinery, equipment, and motors.
- Install and wire control panels and devices on machines and equipment.
- Train apprentice electricians to achieve a State of Michigan Journeyman's license or equivalent certification.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production departments to address electrical needs for new installations, equipment maintenance, and process improvement.
- Ensure electrical safety across all company areas.
- Perform additional electrical duties as assigned.

- Aerial Lift Training
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training
Level of Authority :
- Training of Apprentice Electricians
- Immediate resolution of serious safety issues
Physical Demands :
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Using ladders
- Occasional outdoor work
Pay Details : 31.00 to 37.00 per hour
