I'm partnered with a leading engineering firm in stormwater management that is searching for someone to lead their stormwater team.
This department is in charge of developing comprehensive master drainage plans and designing individual drainage projects to maximize flood control and enhance water quality.
Projects include wetland ecological restoration, creek restoration, and wetland enhancement around Florida.
This position is available to be in West Palm Beach or Orlando, Florida.
Core Responsibilities :
- Oversee, organize, and evaluate the efforts of fellow professionals, especially in the realm of large-scale and cross-disciplinary projects.
- Engage in strategic discussions and collaborations with local, county, and state-level clients.
- Partner with the regional manager and Human Resources department to address staffing dynamics, recruitment, and educational initiatives.
- Spearhead design teams on projects, aiding in the development of municipal water management systems, conducting hydraulic analyses, and designing pump stations.
- Direct and synchronize the activities of professional staff.
- Facilitate client interactions and project coordination at various governmental levels.
- Handle complex projects that span multiple disciplines.
- Collaborate with leadership and HR on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and training programs.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of a decade’s experience in stormwater project design and management.
- Must possess a Professional Engineer license in Florida or be eligible for license transfer.
- Prior experience in consulting, public sector works, or construction is advantageous.
- Proficiency in ICPR3 or ICPR4 modeling is desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards related to stormwater engineering.
- Willingness to travel within the company’s operational footprint (personal transportation required).
