About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $921 To $1023 Job Title : Pharmacy Technician Job Specialty : Outpatient Pharmacy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour shift, starting any time between 7 : 30 am and 9 : 30 am;
every 3rd weekend requires an 8.5-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch; compensation day during the week for weekends worked Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2+ years License : Not specified Certifications : CPHT required Must-Have : - Retail experience - Additional experience as a lead technician, specialty pharmacy, prior authorizations, or a job requiring strong communication skills Job Description : - Process prescriptions through the pharmacy system, including adjudication of claims to third-party insurance plans - Assist with filling medication orders accurately and timely - Collect medication histories as part of the medication reconciliation process - Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to aid in patient care - Facilitate the delivery of medications to patients and their families in the hospital and clinic settings - Coordinate patient payments and communicate relevant issues to the pharmacist and Prior Authorization Team - Exhibit excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and their families via telephone and in person - Participate in service line meetings as required - Manage inventory effectively - Process co-pay cards issued by drug company programs for eligible patients - Complete prior authorizations according to volume on the assigned unit - Communicate with multiple providers, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies regarding discharge medication management - Proficient in all roles of a normal technician such as production, prescription processing, and delivery The ideal candidate will be conscientious and focused on all patient needs related to the discharge medication process.
