Job Details
- ICU (6MICU)
- ASAP start preferred, 13 weeks
- 3x12 hour nights, 7P-7A
- Epic experience required
- L1 experience required.
- L2 experience considered as long as it comes from a large facility.
- 6 Mountain Intensive Care Unit (6MICU) is a 12-bed intensive care unit.
- Practice in a setting where patients require complex ongoing assessment, multiple therapies, and interventions.
- Surgical intensive care unit that serves vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, or stroke patients.
- Certified stroke center designation.
- Part of Carilion’s Cardiovascular Institute (CVI).
- Operates 24 / 7, seven days a week; serving patients age 18 and older.
- Standard nurse to patient ratio is 2 : 1.
- Complex therapies / treatments include cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), mechanical ventilation support, Pacemaker Management, EVD drains (intracranial pressure monitoring), NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ISTAT lab values.
