About The Position
Job Title : MRI Technician Job Specialty : MRI Technician Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Mid - 5x8 - 2pm - 10pm, 40 hours Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Valid state license as an MRI Technician Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Experience in operating MRI scanners, patient care skills, and knowledge of safety procedures Job Description : Operate MRI scanners to obtain images for diagnosing and treating pathologies.
- Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
- Conduct patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to MRI examinations.- Enter and monitor patient data, and transfer images to produce transparency and develop film.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and accurate documentation to PACS, including image quality, lead markers, and patient history.
- Ensure that MRI equipment is functioning properly, and report potential issues to appropriate personnel.- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.
