Volt is immediately hiring for Visual Quality Inspector in Rumford, RI.

Job Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Inspect various parts per work instructions, customer specifications & prints, SOP’s, & SIP’s.
  • Quarantine suspect / defective parts from product that meets customer specifications.
  • Follow Incident Report Procedure for containment of suspect / defective product.
  • Review suspect / defective parts with Quality staff for part approval as required.
  • Package parts in preparation of shipment to customer. Use work instructions, customer specifications, SOP’s, SIP’s, & packaging specs as required.
  • Prepare labels, packaging and shipping boxes as required.
  • Process inspection scrap as required.
  • Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the IEP Employee Manual.
  • Follow all International Standards that apply to IEP’s certification and QMS.
  • Follow safety rules and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Handle and dispose of all chemicals per the applicable MSDS and IEP procedure.
  • Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.
  • Perform work outside of normal work hours as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a Full-time, Contract position.

Education / Skills / Qualifications :

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.
  • Must have 1-3 years’ experience in a related visual inspection position.
  • Must successfully complete 90-day probationary period.
  • Should have good Communication skills both oral and written.
  • Should have good Prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Should have good Organizational skills.
  • Should have good Time Management skills.
  • Should have good Initiative coupled with a drive for Continuous Improvement.
  • Should be Cooperative with the ability to work independently or in a team environment (Teamwork).
  • Should have good Administrative & Record Keeping skills.
  • Should have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.

Schedule : 1st Shift : 6 : 00 am 6 : 00 pm / 3rd Shift : 6 : 00 pm 6 : 00 am (12 Hour rotating shifts working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks)

Location : Rumford, RI

Pay Rate : $14 15 / hr.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
