Certified Anesthesia Technician - Full-Time Evenings
Join our team at Houston Methodist as a Certified Anesthesia Technician (AT) in the evenings. This position provides critical support to the anesthesia providers, assisting with anesthesia-related procedures, troubleshooting equipment, and initiating patient monitoring in various anesthetizing locations.
As an essential member of the interprofessional health care team, the AT is responsible for ensuring all anesthetizing locations and equipment are prepared and in good working condition.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with anesthesia support activities in various patient care areas
- Perform patient monitoring and anesthesia equipment setup
- Conduct equipment calibration and checks
- Contribute to maintaining quality and safety standards
- Ensure timely organization and readiness of anesthetizing areas and services work stations
- Participate in committees and task forces as assigned
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of hospital experience or ASATT certification
- BLS certification required; ASATT certification preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in English language and basic computer knowledge
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
