Your Role :

As a CDL Class A Driver, you will be the face of Barnsco Texas on the road. Your mission is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment to our customers and vendors, all while upholding our high standards of customer service and safety.

You will handle everything from loading and strapping to conducting pre-trip inspections and navigating the best routes to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safety First : Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your tractor and trailer. Report any deficiencies using the Pre-Trip Whip-Around app and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Efficient Loading and Delivery : Load and secure materials / equipment according to FMCSA / DOT guidelines and deliver orders as per routed paperwork.

Adapt routes as needed with Dispatcher or Fleet Manager approval.

• Customer Service Excellence : Represent Barnsco with professionalism and courtesy. Communicate effectively with customers and provide guidance during unloading as needed.
• Communication & Documentation : Maintain ongoing communication with dispatchers and provide timely updates on delivery status.

Complete all necessary reports and documentation using the BisTrack delivery app.

Vehicle Maintenance : Ensure your vehicle remains clean, safe, and compliant with all traffic laws and Barnsco policies.

Avoid personal modifications and maintain proper use of your personal cell phone for work-related applications.

What We’re Looking For :

• Experience & Qualifications : High school diploma or GED required, CDL license, and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• Safety & Compliance : Strong understanding of DOT requirements, including strapping, air brakes, and hands-free communication.

Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and maintain compliance with FMCSA / DOT standards.

• Adaptability : Ability to foresee weather conditions and road closures, and adapt your plans as needed.
• Customer Focus : Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a positive experience.
