Overview

The Bus Driver will transport staff and students to off-campus athletic events using a Embassy 395 Freightliner M-2 bus 8.

5 feet wide, 39.5 feet long and 11.5 high. Full cab - driver and co-pilot. Max 36 passengers with back storage area (outside access) plus driver & co-pilot.

Job Responsibilities

Transporting sports teams and students to off-campus events and practices from mid August thru end of May; hours per week will vary during playing seasons.

Additional hours over the summer for other campus events.

Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule; hours and days will vary depending on athletic schedules; nights and weekends are required.

Ability to work with google documents, check and respond to e-mail and phone calls. Training on google docs will be provided

Must keep written log of activity

Education / Experience

• High School graduate
• Clean driving record
• Must know basic vehicle and traffic laws

Competencies / Skills

Class B CDL Driver Requirements :

• Clean Class B License with air brakes, Passenger endorsements
• Familiar with DOT rules and requirements. Ability to read basic instructions, road signs and maps, and be able to keep a written log of activity.
• Strong customer service abilities with emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Strong organizational & Time management skills
• Positive attitude with a Professional appearance
• Willingness to learn and be coached as needed

Work Environment

Transporting student athletes and staff to and from St John Fisher University to competition and practice or event venues.

Equipment to be Used

GPS unit to determine best route to destination provided on itinerary.
