The primary responsibility of this position is the preparation and instruction of 3 credits of HIMS 5700 : Project in Health Information Management and Systems online to students in the Health Care Revenue Cycle and Data Analytics Certificate program.
This position will work remotely. Teaching will take place during the 2nd session of spring semester 2025 (February 26, 2025 to April 29, 2025).
The work assignments will be based on the certificate program's curriculum and the Division's teaching needs.

Performance Objectives
- Update the course syllabus and the calendar for this online, asynchronous class in consultation with certificate program manager, and post to CarmenCanvas;
- Order textbooks (if applicable);
- Update and post readings and other teaching materials;
- Prepare and deliver lectures (recording and posting to the CarmenCanvas course site);
- Respond to accommodation requests from individual students (e.g., lengthening exam time);
- Update and post assignments;
- Grade assignments and respond to students in a timely manner in accordance with the rubrics and the response expectations as outlined in the course syllabus;
- Post grades to Buckeyelink at the end of the session;
- Report student performance concerns to the certificate program manager immediately so that students can be referred appropriately.
- Meet regularly with the division director or designee to assist in communication and continuous improvement for the course you are teaching.
- Respond promptly to the Division Directors requests should they request an urgent reply.
- Attend faculty meetings and retreats as schedule permits.
- Prepare materials for your annual review with the division director including your resume or CV and your SEIs (Student Evaluation of Instruction).
- Conduct online sessions with students, if needed, via CarmenZoom.
