Job Title : PMO Manager

Overview : This role leads the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring a standardized and consistent approach to enterprise project management.

The PMO Manager oversees the coordination, leadership, and management of all PMO activities to support the successful delivery of IT strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead a team of Project Managers (PMs) to deliver projects within scope, on time, and on budget, ensuring alignment with agreed specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to gather and document business and system requirements, functional designs, and business processes.
• Manage senior BSAs to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Develop and manage the overall enterprise project management strategy, including training, communication, project control, and reporting.
• Monitor and analyze project performance, metrics, and maintain centralized accountability for managing the project portfolio.
• Support and integrate various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, PMI / PMBOK, and Critical Path Method (CPM).
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across the project portfolio.
• Manage project prioritization and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
• Assist in financial planning and tracking for IT projects, including capital acquisitions and expense management.
• Track and report on cost savings from IT initiatives.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and manage change requests as needed.
• Ensure consistent use of project management tools and adherence to PMO best practices across the team.
• Review and provide feedback on BSA documentation, including business requirements, functional specs, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and other technical documentation.
• Lead discussions with the BSA team to address project issues, strategy, and direction.
• Manage resource capacity and prioritize customer project requests.
• Supervise Technical Writer staff and oversee the development of training manuals and other relevant documentation.
• Maintain customer relationships with business project sponsors, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including workflow management, priority setting, and deadline enforcement.
• Stay current with technological advancements to ensure the team remains aligned with industry best practices.
• Provide leadership in setting clear direction, driving results, and managing organizational change.
• Assign responsibilities, take corrective action, and evaluate employee performance, fostering a culture of development and motivation.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in IT, business analysis, strategic planning, and project management.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in IT.
• PMP certification (or equivalent) required.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;
• other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
