Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary :

The Video Services team is responsible for the technology delivery, and sustainment of IT systems used to enable Video Services operational businesses.

The team ensures technology and business strategy remain tightly aligned through cross-functional partnership, knowledge of industry trends, and familiarity with our corporate systems landscape.

Members work closely with leadership, business stakeholders, engineers, vendors, information security, and others to deliver a technology ecosystem that meets the demands of a high growth organization.

Main tasks include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, performing user acceptance testing and researching solutions to automate processes.

To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users and to technical developers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
• Performing requirements analysis
• Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts
• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Performing user acceptance testing
• Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures
• Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users

Skills Required

• Experience in enterprise software design, implementation, and deployment
• Experience working with Agile based development teams
• Proven working experience in project management
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of training for end-users and operations
• Manage project artifacts for the project
• Prepare project plans, manage and track project execution activities for project teams
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred

• 5+ years service in a Media and Entertainment industry delivering IT solutions (Network, Studio, or Production House)
• An understanding of coding / stored procedure; specifically SQL, or MySQL
• Big 4 Consulting and / or professional service experience

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• A minimum of 5+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst
• Experience in working with software development teams a plus
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• The ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
• Excellent documentation skills
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, and Excel
• A track record of following through on commitments
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
