We are looking for an experienced Senior Real Estate Counsel with 3+ years of strong In-House or law firm legal department experience representing an assortment of real estate-related matters - i.

e., negotiations, acquisition, construction, development rights, finance, leasing, and a range of other commercial contracts, corporate governance, and other legal matters.

Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties - *Legal Staff Supervision when needed*

  • Legal management on real estate matters
  • Negotiating real estate, i.e. - purchase, easements, development, and construction agreements
  • Negotiating financing transaction permitting and lot-line adjustments, sub-division, parcel map filings, and related tax parcel mapping with local county / municipal jurisdictions in several states
  • Responsible for the expansion and development of a multibillion-dollar real estate portfolio
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, highlighting vendor and procurement agreements, multi-location facilities agreements, telecommunications contracts, and AIA construction contracts
  • Strong support for corporate governance matters and tax matters, i.e., REIT compliance of real estate holdings
  • Management of several service providers, i.e, title companies, surveyors, engineers, utilities, and energy developers
  • Confirm proper contract fulfillment following company policies, legal requirements, and our specifications
  • Assistance with the implementation of existing agreements and practices
  • Perform legal research and prepare reports and transaction memos
  • Review and update policies and procedures
  • General corporate legal representation as needed
  • Perform other assignments or duties as required

Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • A Juris Doctor is required, and bar admission is in at least one state and good standing.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the U.S. States.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of legal documents
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and analytical communication aptitude
  • Exceptional customer service in working with various departments and customers
  • Proficient at managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Progressive understanding of contract and file management solutions
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an In-House legal department or law firm
  • Real estate development, procurement, REIT, telecom, construction-related, or data center experience is a strong plus!
