Responsibilities
The Program Director oversees the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) Residency Program ( OB-GYN Program or Program ) under the guidance of the Designated Institutional Official (DIO).
The Program Director handles the general management, curriculum development, hiring, and teaching and mentoring of the Program.
The Program Director sets the strategic vision of the Program and ensures its standards, quality, and reputation. The Program Director is expected to support the collaboration of the OB-GYN Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a way that improves value and quality, and that fosters a positive environment for professional practice and medical education.
The Program Director will also work in collaboration with the existing residency programs’ leadership to ensure outstanding educational offerings within Lee Health Cape Coral Hospital.

Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- Ability to obtain Florida medical license prior to hire.
- Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Minimum of three years in an administrative, teaching or leadership role in an ACGME accredited internal Medicine residency program.

- Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, mentoring and teaching skills.

- Ability to build and lead high-performing teams; must be able to provide clear and accurate direction and guidance.
