The Nurse Technician will utilize skills achieved through their educational programs and / or orientation within the scope of the position.
Hours : 2 : 30pm-11 : 00-pm, every other weekend and holiday rotationESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS1. Performs delegated functions of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure patients receive the appropriate care needed.
2. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive patient care.3. Prioritizes patient care assignments based on changes in patient's condition and unanticipated interruptions, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, to achieve optimal, safe and cost effective patient and organizational outcomes.
4. Assists with facilitating interdisciplinary communication to help prioritize communications, optimize team functioning and enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Provides assessment information as directed by supervising Registered Nurse and collaborates with other staff, patients, families and interdisciplinary healthcare team.
6. Assists providers with exams, tests, procedures and administers other therapies, medications and treatments assigned by designated Registered Nurse to effectively treat the patient's medical condition(s).
7. Documents patient information in an accurate, concise, and timely manner to allow others to review and utilize in future care for the patient.
8. Assesses and addresses patient education needs under the direction of assigned Registered Nurse to promote patient self-management.
