SENIOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION ENGINEER
The Senior Automation Engineer will be a part of ESCO Groups’ Automation Team and will be responsible for being a leading Senior resource for automation projects.
The ideal candidate will be a systems integrator with extensive work experience and knowledge of Rockwell PLC programming and HMI technology.
OBJECTIVES YOU WILL MEET
AstheSeniorAutomation Engineer, youwillbe responsible forprovidingtechnical services alongside a highly technical team.Objectives include :
Expertisein programming and configuration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interface (HMI) systems to control andmonitorindustrial processes.
Design and implement industrial automation projects that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality for clients.
Onsite independence, delegating to team members to perform checkout and testing work on projects of varying size and complexity.
Completion and delegation of programming tasks according to process narrative and / or client specifications.
Highproficiencywith programming processes such as sequence control and system operation for process control.
Effective communication and coordination within complex subcontractor, contractor, and client relationships.
Providetechnical support toclientsduring commissioning and post-project stages.
Interpret process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) toidentifyindividual I / O components and process systems for programming execution.
Create andmaintaincustom PLC and HMI objects and displays for the efficient creation of automation programs.
HOW YOU’LLMEET THOSE OBJECTIVES
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of directly related experience.
In-depth knowledge of Automation and Control products inclusive of but not limited to : Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLCs, Motion Control, SCADA Software, HMI, Networking, Sensors, Motion, Robotics, and Motor Control.
Travel to client sites and perform physical duties to implement, test, and commission automation systems.
Continuously improve programming skills by staying updated with the latest advancements inPLCprogramming and HMI technology.
Create andmaintaina structured approach to troubleshooting, including diagnosing issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective resolutions.
Effectively communicate programming vision andprovidetools to team members to ensureaccurate,timelycompletion of project deliverables.
Participate in industry webinars and conferences to expand knowledge and share insights with team members.
Obtain a deeper understanding of various automation components, protocols, and systems used in the industry, including multiple PLC and HMI platforms.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel often in the assigned territory and occasionally travel to attend company, customer, and supplier activities and events.
