Description : The Company

Point Global Logistics, a leading provider of logistics and freight forwarding solutions, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to enhance our warehouse operations. This role is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership within our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will ensure efficiency, compliance, and a safe working environment while bringing a hands-on approach to daily operations. Strong leadership skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position

Job Overview

Lead team of assigned warehouse operations staff to complete receiving, inventory, project, and shipping tasks for SDI account. Enforce warehouse safety, TSA and OSHA rules. Be responsible for excellent customer service to SDI, within terms of warehouse agreements, work rules, and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Make work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of work on a timely and accurate basis for your assigned accounts. Most orders to be shipped on the same day, with larger weekly clients to be shipped within 24 hours.
  • Perform functions of warehouse shipping and receiving operations, including but not limited to receive, check, put-away, order pick, and ship cargo.
  • Perform physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and rearrange stock as necessary for efficient and accurate storage. Maintain inventory location accuracy, pick by expiration date, record lot numbers per transaction.
  • Interact with customer (SDI)s and vendors by telephone and e-mail to answer information requests same day. Resolve shipping and inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate billing with the warehouse manager.
  • Monitor consumable warehouse supplies, such as cartons, tape, packing materials.
  • Assist warehouse supervisor and export operations as directed.
  • Your duties are outlined, but not limited to, those mentioned above.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience : Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, or similar role in a warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety protocols.
  • Leadership Skills : Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications : Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment are a plus.
  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.
