Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) School of Polytechnic invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor / Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice in Construction Management beginning August 12, 2024.
The position is 100% teaching (4 / 4 workload) at the undergraduate level.
A in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely will be considered as a Visiting Assistant Professor.
Candidates with a master’s degree with broad industrial experience will be considered for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice.
Applicants must be able to teach at the undergraduate level in a variety of foundational courses and potential courses matching the candidate’s expertise.
Areas of instructional interest would include surveying, AutoCAD and Revit, construction safety, construction quality, and soil properties.
Applicants should possess at least 3 years of relevant industrial experience. Selected candidate will be working closely with students in a small experiential classroom setting and will collaborate with the community and industry partners to improve the program.
Position is contingent upon available funding and satisfactory background check.
