Job Description And Duties
Under the direction of the IT Supervisor II (Business Analysis Manager), the ITS I independently provides consultation and information regarding existing and proposed information technology (IT) systems, acts as project lead / business analyst on IT systems, and analyzes various eligibility systems within the department in order to deliver support for those systems.
The incumbent provides business and technical expertise and acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for MEDS and other ancillary system changes or enhancements during all phases of the project lifecycle through System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall and / or Agile methodology.
These activities include coordination of work, project / contract management, oversight and coordination of data releases along with management of change requests in conjunction with work effort items to address all measures of security concerns.
The incumbent acts as a liaison between non-technical program staff and technical IT staff including various stakeholders as they relate to work efforts.
The incumbent must work with all levels of staff (senior management, unit managers, program staff, county / Statewide Automated Welfare Systems (SAWS) staff, etc.
The incumbent is responsible for providing enterprise technology infrastructure, application and support services for users of MEDS and related subsystems.
As a member of the IT division, the incumbent performs a variety of duties that are complex in nature and moderately broad in scope.
The incumbent assists in enhancing and maintaining service delivery. The incumbent leads efforts to produce analysis and elicit requirements for enhancements and additional features that are scalable, supportable, secure and stable.
This includes being responsible for assessment of business cases and participating in solution discussion meetings. The incumbent is responsible for utilizing industry, State and Department standards in designing solutions that serve the public, business partners and employees of the organization in an effective manner.
