Summary
Entry level role! No experience needed, all training is provided on site. The Cath lab Assistant provides support services to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and licensed staff.
Duties may include inventory management, cleaning of equipment and treatment areas, ordering / stocking equipment and supplies, and the transportation of patients to and from patient care areas and the Cath Lab.
Responsible for washing of standard and specialized instruments used in cardiac catheterization procedures and delivery of instruments to CSD for decontamination.
Responsibilities will also include assisting with the turnover of the procedure rooms, and running incidental errands.
SCHEDULE Monday - Friday 7 : 30-4pm
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education : General educational development necessary to comprehend and follow basic instructions.
- License / Certifications : Must be BLS certified.
- Experience : N / A
- Basic reading ability to ensure proper patient identification.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact positively with patients and other Cath Lab staff.
- Ability to assess patient individual transportation needs in regard to the patient age group.
- Manual dexterity and eye to hand coordination necessary for the safe handling of instruments and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, including flexibility to prioritize tasks in a constantly changing setting.
- Basic analytic abilities to maintain inventory levels, follow safety precautions and maintain basic records.
