About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 5x8-Hour (19 : 00 - 03 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years experience required along with 1 prior travel assignment License : Valid state license required at time of submission.
Certain units accept pending status. Certifications : As required Must-Have : Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions Job Description : Perform sterilization and decontamination procedures on all surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of surgical kits and instruments, ensuring they are ready for use.- Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical staff to meet surgical schedule requirements and minimize downtime.- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain skills and certifications.
- Ensure accurate documentation of sterilization processes and inventory management.- Complete modules as part of the orientation and training program.
- Be prepared to work without an interview, as manager interviews may or may not occur. Orientation : 28 hours at 50% non-billable (Note : Modules are billable up to 4 hours;
additional hours are non-billable, averaging up to 12 hours, and can be completed pre-start or during orientation.)
