About The Position
Job Title : Interventional Technologist IV Job Specialty : Interventional Radiology Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Day shift, 4x9 hour shifts during the week plus call (1 weekend a month and 1 weeknight a week) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Experience in vascular / interventional imaging preferred License : ARRT(R)(CV / V) required Certifications : - Valid ARRT (R)(CV / VI) registration - Fluoroscopy certification Must-Have : Radiation safety knowledge Job Description : Collaborate with the team lead to practice and promote service behaviors, strategies, and priorities that are recognized as the best in the nation.
- Operate angiographic equipment for vascular / interventional radiography procedures to provide quality patient care and diagnostic images.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for examinations.- Receive and prepare patients for examination, perform IV punctures, and administer IV contrast agents when indicated.
- Independently perform and complete routine examinations.- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency.
- Participate actively in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and workflow efficiency.
- Utilize and manage various interventional radiology equipment, computers, and protective gear.- Prepare for and manage invasive procedures, maintaining patient safety with equipment such as pulse oximetry, catheters, and life support devices.
- Must adhere to weekend, holiday, and on-call schedules as required, and be flexible with shifts to accommodate patient needs.
