About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Services Technician Job Specialty : Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 30);
Mid 3x12-Hour (15 : 00 - 03 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years required License : Must have an active MD or Compact License at the time of submission Certifications : Not specified Must-Have : - At least 2 satisfactory professional references from the most recent employers, including one from a supervisor / manager and one from a charge RN.
Job Description : Rotating schedule within Surgical Services OR.- Utilization of the Epic documentation system.- Willingness to float where needed and to other facilities as required.
- Comfortable with weekend shifts.- Flu vaccine mandatory; no exemptions available.- Familiarity with the orientation process, with 24 hours of orientation provided.
- Adhere to the 50-mile local radius rule, accepting locals at a lower rate.- Must be able to float within the hospital and adapt to various sites as necessary.
- Required to undergo compliance processes promptly, with specifics discussed during submission.- Any known background issues must be detailed in submission for review.
- Return staff policy applies, with specific conditions regarding the duration away from the system.This position requires a candidate who is flexible and willing to adapt to varying needs as they arise within the scope of experience and working environment.
A proactive approach to compliance and readiness for orientation is necessary.
