Scheduled hours :
1st Shift - Mon - Friday, 6am - 2pmKey Accountabilities (results expected to achieve) :
Meet or exceed plant goals for setup time, downtime reduction, scrap reduction and press optimizationKey Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities) :
Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceededCleans molding machines, machine equipment, and moldsCompletes needed documentation for set ups required including but not limited to assignment sheets and nozzle torque sheetsTransfers molds as needed by utilizing overhead cranes, forklifts, and hoistsSets up molds in molding machine to include auxiliary equipmentMaintains clean workstation and continuously practices housekeeping standards throughout facilityResponsible for installing multi-nozzles, clamps and ready rodsPerforms insert changes on vertical pressesDiagnosis of thermocouples and heat related issuesFollows electrical and hydraulic diagramsInstalls hydraulic lines and electrical cordsRigging molds up to the capabilities of hoist equipmentPerforms all other assignments as requiredQualities for Success :
1+ year experience in manufacturing environmentPrevious injection plastics experience or Material Handling experience preferredBasic computer skills, including familiarity with touch screensMust be able to read and comprehend EnglishMust be able to follow specifications, simple instructions, and setup sheetsBasic math skills, including calculations and measurementAble to work overtime hours according to business needPays close attention to detail and makes accuracy a priorityFollows set directions and proceduresAble to work with a team or independentlyMechanical aptitudeKnowledge of hand tools and what they are used forBasic knowledge of hydraulicsAbility to operate a hoist, crane, and fork lift (with company training)Dedicated to safety for self and othersProblem solver; able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgementExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsHighly organized and able to work with and direct othersExperience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointPhysical & Mental Demands :
Able to lift 65 lbs up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistanceAble to lift 50 lbs above head occasionallyPush, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basisGrip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours)Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and poweredAbility to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ¼” in diameterGood hand and wrist dexterityVisually inspect all partsStand and walk for extended periods of timeMust be able to handle extremely heavy items with equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hoistOccasionally ascends / descends ladders to work on machineryCrawl into tight spaces daily (1-2 hours)The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Work Environment :
This position is often required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
