A successful Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician is a proactive problem-solver who ensures refrigeration systems' optimal performance and longevity.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician :

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers, reach-in freezers, ice machines).
• Inspect and test refrigeration system components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans) for proper operation.
• Clean coils, lubricate moving parts, and replace air filters.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system malfunctions.
• Identify and repair leaks, electrical problems, and mechanical issues.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and components.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance via service software.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems and solutions.

Requirements of the Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician :

• At least 1 year working with commercial systems.
• Experience cleaning ice machines, condensers, and drains.
• Experience installing basic parts for preventative measures.
• Will assist with acquiring EPA Certification.
• A solid understanding of how refrigeration systems and their parts work.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and extremely tech-savvy.
• Epass appliance service software experience / knowledge is a plus!
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must own hand tools.
• Ability to work well on your own and with others.
• Skilled at finding and fixing problems quickly and efficiently.
• A valid license with a clean driving history.
