The experienced Xactimate Estimator position will work closely with Field Representatives, Insurance Adjusters, Clients, Customers, and all parties involved in claims remediation to produce accurate estimates for damage assessments and carrier loss evaluation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Review and develop insurance estimates using field inspection documentation, photographs and scope sheets Develop estimates including creation of accurate roof diagrams in Xactimate Sketch Write supplemental estimates Communicate with various team members to settle issues of scope Complete and submit estimates for insurance carriers Handles all estimating inquiries for the team and demonstrate high level of problem resolution and technical assistance.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously Submits estimates in a timely manner determined by company requirements Provides technical explanations to clients, adjusters, consultants, and others Updates status of job within company software program Other duties and responsibilities as required Qualifications : Demonstrated Xactimate Estimator competence, knowledge, and proficiency (Level 2 preferred) 2+ years of experience in estimating or insurance adjusting(field).
Intermediate to advanced computer skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Roof construction knowledge and background preferred High school graduate (Some College preferred) Preferences : Certified Xactimate Estimator Level 2 certification preferred Roof construction knowledge and background preferred Some college education preferred Carrier experience preferred Symbility experience preferred Skills and Abilities : Strong attention to detail Effective time management skills, able to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines Detailed, organized, and able to work independently, as well as with the team Professional written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel and customers.
Scheduling : Mondays thru Fridays, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm Schedule may change according to business operational needs. Environmental Factors : Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment, or, work is normally performed indoors in a typical office environment but may occasionally be required to perform work outdoors Possibility of travel to locations outside of the office environment Physical / Mental Skills and Abilities : Ability to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, squat, and reach above shoulders. Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including ability to grasp and operate equipment.
Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
