Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Tax Senior or Tax Manager to join their team. This is a hybrid position, with two days being onsite in their Encino, CA office.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $76 per hour.
Job Description :
- Prepare tax returns and provide tax advice
- Contact and / or follow up with clients to send in documentation needed to substantiate return
- Review QuickBooks files for business tax returns and makes journal entries as needed
- Perform technical review of tax returns prepared by other staff members
- Meet with clients via video or phone conference or, occasionally, in-person
- Collaborate with Partners and other staff for tax planning and advisory needs for clients
- Research government notices and seeks resolution from the IRS, FTB or other state and local taxing authorities
Requirements :
- Experience supervising others preferred
- Strong commitment to client confidentiality
- Customer service focused
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and multiple clients independently
- Proficient in Excel
Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in tax at a public accounting firm.
