All Points North is seeking Registered Nurses in Aurora, CO

Full time, Part Time, PRN !

About the Position :

The RN at All Points North Aurora Assessment Center will work with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to provide care, monitor health conditions, and administer medicine.

The Staff Nurse will assist with the physical treatment and medication, educate patients and families on the dangers of addiction, and provide psychological support for those who are struggling with addiction, and participate in patient interventions.

Extensive medical knowledge as well as a compassionate, positive, hard-working attitude is a must.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Perform patient assessments and medical screenings at admission and monitor patient's status throughout treatment.
• Assist physicians with developing individual treatment plans and implement and monitor those plans.
• Educate patients and their loved ones about the dangers of substance abuse and various treatment options.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families struggling with addiction, which may include organizing and facilitating support groups.
• Monitor patient vitals; detect changes in symptoms, health, and / or pain.
• Take patient samples, transport samples to appropriate destination.
• Administer medication and provide pain management services.
• Assist doctors with procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Communicate clearly and directly with patients; provide emotional support to patients and family members under stress.
• Fill out and update patient documents and charts.
• Set up for procedures with appropriate tools; maintain full inventory.
• Continue professional education by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

• Licensed as an RN in Colorado or any state that is a part of the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• 3 years’ experience in a hospital or doctors office. Prefer experience in behavioral health as well.
• Maintain AHA BLS.
• Psychiatric and / or Addiction Nursing Certifications (PMHRN-BC or CARN) preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, urine drug screen, required.

Hourly rate range : $27-$55 hourly + $4.50 hourly differential for hours worked 7pm-7am (Based on experience and education)
