Logistics Coordinator

General Duties :
- Maintain shipping / receipt records / files for trucks / railcars.
- Goods Issue truck / railcar shipments.
- Goods Receipt truck / railcar shipments.
- Communicate with Customer Service and Logistics Supervisor / Manager for any scheduling issues trucks / railcars
- Assist with resolution of any discrepancies for shipments / receipts quantities, CoA’s, invoicing, etc.
Trucks :
- Prepare and dispatch truck orders and maintain the truck schedule.
- Process paperwork regarding the truck shipments / receipts for the day.
- Coordinate all truck loading / unloading activities with Customer Service and the Logistics Supervisor / Manager.
- Communicate with various carriers for scheduling of both shipments and receipts via truck.
- Assist with transporter product safety training as needed.
- Assist with carrier performance improvement efforts at the plant (product stewardship).
Railcars :
- Prepare and dispatch railcar orders and maintain the railcar schedule.
- Maintain monthly railcar demurrage / storage tracking data for billing purposes.
- Process for payment demurrage / storage fees as required in SAP
- Assist with management of the railcar fleet dedicated to the plant’s service.
- Coordinate railcar maintenance repairs as needed.
- Coordinate all railcar loading / unloading activities with Customer Service and the Logistics Supervisor / Manager.
- Communicate with the railroad company (Port Terminal Railroad Association) to manage inbound / outbound railcar movements for the plant site.
Software needed :
- Heavy Microsoft Office
- Logistics or dispatch system
