We are searching for an innovative Associate Director Healthcare Economics to join our experienced team. This creative role offers an excellent opportunity to directly impact an innovative function and secure your future with an industry leader.

This role sits within a functional support team that works with the East region supporting the Community and State value based contracting health plan efforts.

This position will lead a team to provide analytics and consultation to our network partners and local market health plans to provide optimal, affordable care for our members.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Manage team of analysts to interpret and analyze data and recommend best approaches, prioritize multiple competing deliverables and appropriately allocate resources
  • Design and implement training and development programs for analytic staff
  • Advance innovation in the enterprise through proactive data insights, external research, and market knowledge
  • Lead the design and creation of analytic models to evaluate financial impact of value-based care contracting opportunities
  • Interface with business leaders and build relationships in support of value based contracting strategy and payments
  • Leverage technology and carry out process improvement activities
  • Ability to concisely summarize and communicate the results of complex analytics to cross-functional teams of network, clinical, health plan and finance leaders
  • Prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting
  • Collaborate with business leadership on ad hoc requests
  • Be an independent, innovative leader
  • Act as liaison / subject matter expert to health plan leaders

Required Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of analytical experience in financial analysis, health care pricing, network management, healthcare economics or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in creating and using financial modeling and financial impact analysis, risk management and data manipulation
  • 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, or mentoring analytic team members
  • Experience in data analytics using one or more of the following tools : Excel with Pivot tables, MS-SQL Developer, SAS, Access, TOAD, Snowflake or equivalent
  • Advanced or higher level of proficiency working with MS Excel; including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, lists, statistical functions, etc.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working with Stars, HEDIS, Medicare Advantage, and / or other quality or risk adjustment programs
  • Experience with SQL or SAS for data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Solid facilitation, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Residents Only : The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
