Job Responsibilities : As a School-Based SLP, you will :
- Provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs.
- Offer direct therapy and monitor students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students with speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with a team of educators and professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure and certification (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred to better serve our diverse student population.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a school setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
