THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for :
Become the Eye category expert through ongoing analysis of category dynamics, competitive performance and consumer trends.
Maintain a holistic and detailed understanding of the category portfolio for COVERGIRL and competition. Conduct ongoing competitive reviews to help inform brand strategy and product innovation for 3-year plan.
- Understand the consumer and translate this knowledge to create insightful strategy, communication and innovation.
- Assist in managing all aspects of the innovation development process, from idea to launch for all Eye sub-segments : Mascara, Eyeliner, Eyeshadow and Brow.
Includes insights development and market analysis, crafting the mix, business case modeling, communication and in-store point of sale assets and internal sell-in through each stage gate.
- Assist in leading cross-functional team to overcome executional and logistical hurdles to meet in-market timing.
- Analyze the sales potential of new products.
- Track business performance of base business and all new COVERGIRL Eye launches.
- Become a key Eye category interface with local brand and trade marketing teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
We’d love to see candidates who have :
Essential :
- 4 year Undergraduate Degree in Marketing or Related Field.
- 2-5 years relevant work experience in marketing or brand management. Global brand management and product development a plus.
- Analytical, quantitative acumen.
- Thrive in a dynamic, lean, structured environment with proven record of completing projects on time in full through excellent cross-functional team management, leadership and influence.
- Demonstrate bias for action with individual initiative, high energy and commitment level.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for beauty and cosmetics. Creative, beauty sensibility and trend savvy.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Desirable :
- Knowledge of key syndicated data (Nielsen / IRI) and experience developing business cases.
- Experience in color cosmetics or personal care categories.
- Experience working with R&D and leading creative projects end-end in partnership with cross functional teams.
