Cook County Health is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join an exceptional team serving patients from across the greater Chicago area.

The attending physician is responsible for the assisting with the day-to-day operations of Department / Division activities, under direction of the Department Chair.

The MFM attending physician helps ensure the Division provides a level of service that is of the highest quality and is comparable to national and local standards of care, and helps provide active, ongoing participation in the Quality and Safety activities.

  • Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) from an accredited college or university
  • Must be licensed as a physician in Illinois or must obtain license prior to starting employment
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Illinois Controlled Substance prior to starting employment
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid licensure with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration prior to starting employment
  • Must successful show completion of an ACGME accredited or equivalent residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Must be board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology; or must obtain board certification within 2 years of starting employment
  • Successful completion of an ACGME approved maternal fetal medicine (MFM) fellowship or anticipated successful completion of MFM fellowship is required before starting employment
  • Must have at least 2 years of previous experience
