North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery is a private practice in McCandless, PA. We strive to create a professional, rewarding, engaging work environment for all employees.
Our vision is to be the premier oral surgery practice in western Pennsylvania.
We currently have an opportunity on our Clinical Team for a Surgical Assistant. The opening can be in any of our four offices : North Hills, Cranberry Twp, Natrona Heights or New Castle.
Responsibilities :
- Assist surgeons during oral surgical procedures in a clinic
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
- Set up sterile fields and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
- Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records using DSN and other electronic systems
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
- Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients

Experience :
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist preferred
- Familiarity with DSN or other electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- X-Ray Certification
- CPR Certification
