Position Summary

In this entry level position, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the ongoing activities of HR operations at Diamond Game, and the related systems and processes including benefits, talent acquisition, rewards, immigration, compliance, on / off-boarding.

This is a solutions-oriented role, requiring collaborative and innovative leadership responsible for building and developing a positive working environment for the entire Diamond Game organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bring your passion for people, systems, and processes to manage the key day-to-day HR activities of hiring the right team members for our organization and ensuring we maintain and enhance a positive work environment.
  • Drive and support, with strategic guidance from and collaboration with the HR management team, the activities of HR Operations responsible for the delivery and support of talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, compliance, on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, policies and other employee life-cycle related programs.
  • Promote continuous improvement through leadership, guidance, and education.
  • Ensure HR compliance in both US and Canadian jurisdictions.
  • Manage the organization's use of the HR systems.
  • Manage HR interactions cross-functionally with other teams as necessary, including Payroll / Finance, IT, Legal, as well as other parts of the Company.
  • Ensure HR compliance with all policies, regulations and requirements in US and Canadian jurisdictions.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, accuracy, security and timely maintenance of HR data.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of employee training sessions.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of company events.
  • Be well versed in functionality of PEO / HRIS systems.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and other HR documents.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and / or requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources related field or at least two years commensurate work experience.
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years human resources generalist experience required.
  • Project management experience helpful but not required.
  • Must pass background and credit check.

Knowledge and Abilities Requirements

  • Microsoft Office365 experience required; must be proficient in Excel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint experience preferred.
  • A demonstrated understanding of human resources principles, policies and practices is essential.
  • Strong data analysis skills, detail oriented, well organized, and ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, perform duties efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience helpful, but not required.
