Beer Capitol in Sussex, WI now hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic . The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of our pallet wrappers along with general maintenance of warehouse, facility and grounds.

Responsibilities :

• Maintains company assets in a quality fashion through a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operational controls associated with our pallet wrapper systems.
• Performs other maintenance repairs and duties in and around the facility as assigned by management.
• Works with vendors on warranty repairs and installation of all warehouse equipment.
• Checks in with the warehouse manager daily to discuss the projects for the day.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports for repaired equipment.
• Maintains and organizes all parts inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required; Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in Mechanics or other related field preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of mechanical or other relevant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used for pallet wrapper repairs. Additionally, knowledge of and experience with warehouse equipment repairs and maintenance is preferred.
• Electrical knowledge is required.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and performing repairs is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of lock-out-tag-out procedures.
• Knowledge, acquisition and ability to operate power, mechanical and hand tools is required. This may include diagnostic equipment, Acetylene, electric arc welders, etc.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and / or written communications including service specifications from manufacturers.
• Ability to operate all the necessary equipment in a safe and efficient manner is required. Including but not limited to : forklifts, scissor lifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills are required.

Qualifications :

Successful completion of Post-Offer Pre-Employment Physical Assessment

Physical Demands :

Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

Ability to crouch, reach, grasp and stoop.

Ability to hold and utilize hand tools.

Ability to be in awkward physical positions, temporarily.
