Minimum Salary : $63,050
Position will require travel to various locations in Lebanon and Northern Lancaster counties.
PURPOSE OF POSITION :
The Lead Nurse will provide coordination and leadership for IU13 Health Care Assistants (HCAs). HCAs are responsible for meeting the medical needs of students assigned to special education classes and programs.
This position will also provide additional support to HCA staff based on program needs as determined by the Supervisor of Health Care Assistants.
The Lead Nurse will coordinate daily nursing coverage and may provide services throughout Lancaster and Lebanon Counties on behalf of nurses who are absent.
Other duties include providing staff feedback and completion of HCA evaluations to be reviewed by the program supervisor.
The Lead Nurse will be responsible for accessing timely information regarding program nursing questions and provide training to ensure quality services.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

Licensed RN, BSN or higher with current School Nurse Certificate, CPR, AED, and First Aid certificate.
Other Qualifications :
- Willingness to work as part of an educational team and to become familiar with the unique student needs and rights and regulations governing special education placement.
- Willingness to provide a safe environment for the students we serve and the ability to adapt to unexpected, changing situations.
- Valid State driver's license with a good driving record.
- Proficient technology skills
