Join the Tactical Infrastructure Engineering team as a Red Hat Linux Engineer where you will be part of a fast-paced team supporting the Platform Engineering group.
You will play a key role focused on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform - maintaining and improving server resource availability and security while minimizing maintenance delays to application teams.
Under general guidance, this position is responsible for developing project plans, managing projects, monitoring project performance, and helping develop implementation plans for highly complex technology solutions.
The most suitable hire for this position will be a hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux candidate with strong analytical, planning, problem solving, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, infrastructure engineers, technology vendors, and business unit customers.
Responsibilities :
- Build new guest servers and hypervisor hosts with various automation tools.
- Assist with hardware lifecycle efforts for aging systems and platforms.
- Proactive approach to OS patching, hardware drivers, and firmware updates
- Capacity and performance analytics of existing Red Hat infrastructure
- Forecast and procure hardware to expand current environment.
