POSITION SUMMARY : This position coordinates participation in Case Conference Staffing's and is responsible for case acceptance, permanency, reunification and CFOP-175-72 staffing; broadly oversees employee certification; mentor and coach new employees for a limited amount of time following Pre-Service training; conduct file reviews as required; and regularly evaluate the quality and quantity of FSFN documentation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

• Carry a small and restricted caseload.
• Oversee employee completion of the State Child Welfare Certification and recertification process.
• Act as a mentor and coach to new staff coming out of PDC training for a minimum of 30 days to ensure that new staff are oriented effectively to the responsibilities of their job. May include accompanying new staff on home visitation or to court to evaluate skill level.
• Provide evaluative feedback outlining strengthens and opportunities for improvement to trainees during the first 30 days and to the trainee’s supervisor after 30 days to assess their ability to move forward with a caseload.
• Conduct specific case file reviews based on worker performance or high profile / problematic cases at the direction of the Vice President.
• Produce FSFN reports daily / weekly to monitor contractual compliance with both quality and quantity of case note entries and regularly communicate findings to the Vice President and Supervisors.
• Assist with integrating of Family Team Conferencing as the method of engaging families. Acquire formal training in Family Team Conferencing.
• Help coordinate and mediate difficult placements with care management staff and providers.
• Conduct the Permanency staffing process including reunification staffing, high end placement staffing, CFOP 175-72 staffing and other staffing as required and make appropriate recommendations.
• Responsible to construct comprehensive and detailed case staffing reports accurately portraying the results of the staffing.
• Identify and coordinates needed trainings and staff development opportunities for case managers and case manager supervisors in conjunction with the Vice President.
• Participates in quality assurance and internal peer review process for CBC as required.
• Works within the philosophy and function of CBC and YFA.
• Submit all required reports, hard copy and electronic, in a timely manner, as established by the VP, CBC and program guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Trained and authorized to access protected health information.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership.

Requirements : WHAT YOU NEED :

Education & Experience : BS / BA in related Human Services field (); Social Science or related field (); CM Certification required. Five (5) years' experience in Human Services, working with children and Families. Completion of State Child Protection Certification Program.
