We are looking for a skilled and motivated Web Developer to manage and enhance our WordPress-based e-commerce site. This person has a keen eye for detail and passion for creating seamless, engaging user experiences.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in front-end web development and UX / UI design to support the role’s focus on delivering a visually appealing, user-friendly website.

Back-end web development experience is a plus. This role requires someone who can work collaboratively with our marketing, design, and product teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the overall performance and security of our website.

Responsibilities :

Website Development & Maintenance :

• Develop, customize, and maintain the front end of WordPress websites, including themes and plugins.
• Implement and manage e-commerce functionalities using WooCommerce and other relevant plugins.
• Optimize website performance, ensuring fast loading times and a smooth user experience.
• Conduct regular site audits to identify and fix any technical issues, bugs, or vulnerabilities.

E-commerce Management :

• Manage and optimize product listings, including images, descriptions, and categorization.
• Implement and manage payment gateways, shipping integrations, and other e-commerce functionalities.
• Monitor and analyze website analytics to identify opportunities for improvement in conversion rates and user engagement.

UX / UI Design :

• Collaborate with the design team to ensure the website reflects the brand's visual identity and meets UX / UI standards.
• Use UX / UI best practices to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly
• Stay informed about the latest UX / UI trends and tools to continuously improve the user experience.

Collaboration & Communication :

• Work closely with the marketing team to implement SEO strategies, promotional content, and landing pages.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide project updates, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Agility & Innovation :

• Quickly adapt to changes in project scope or timelines and deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end web development, WordPress, and e-commerce.
• Proactively suggest new tools, technologies, or processes that could enhance our website’s performance and user experience.

Qualifications : Technical Skills :

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with WordPress development, including custom responsive themes and plugin development.
• Experience with WooCommerce and other e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with website optimization techniques and tools (e.g. SEO, caching, image optimization).
• Experience with UX / UI design principles and tools.

Soft Skills :

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.

Bonus Skills :

• Capable of using REST APIs to build custom data integrations in PHP, Python, or scripting language of your choice.
• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.

Experience :

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in front-end web development, with a focus on WordPress and e-commerce.
• Experience in a similar industry or working with health and wellness products is a plus.
