POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the MRI supervisor, conduct procedures and tests using Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies
• Select the appropriate imaging technique and operate console and peripheral hardware
• Enter and monitor patient data
• Transfer images to and from disc
• Storing disk in proper location
• Store images on PACS, Network and DVD
• Order film, laundry and other medical supplies
• Maintain corresponding inventory
• Ensure accurate information on scans
• Prepare patients for scans by screening for metal objects
• Perform other duties associated with this position as deemed appropriate.

GENERAL COMPENTENCIES DESIRED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for operation and repair of all department equipment. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds, and places them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Requires operation of equipment and review of developed films.

CREDENTIALS DESIRED

Applicant must be licensed with the State of Florida and ARRT registered. Exceptional customer service skills required. One (1) year of previous MRI experience preferred.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, 12 PM -6 PM
