Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PICU

Shift : Nights / 6 : 45p-7 : 15a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week

Length : 13 weeks

Call Required : ON scheduled days if not needed, may float as extra hands or care of like patients

• Unit Systems : Pyxis, Cerner
• Scrubs : No color requirement

UNIT DETAILS

• Avg. Daily Census : 2-4
• Rooms / Beds : 8 / 8
• Pt. Population : Neonates - Adolescents
• Shift : 3x12 Nights
• Float Required : Yes - NICU, Peds
• Call Required : ON scheduled days if not needed, may float as extra hands or care of like patients
• Unit Systems : Pyxis, Cerner
• Scrubs : No color requirement

CERTIFICATIONS

Required : BCLS, PALS, PCAR

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

Required :

• Minimum 1 yrs. Experience Required, 2 yrs. Preferred - Accepts 1st Time Travelers
• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response : Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
• Endocrine / Metabolic : IV insulin protocols
• GI : GI Surgery
• Neurological / Psychiatric : EVD, ICP monitoring, Spinal cord injury, TBI

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy :

• Accessing Ports
• Arterial line management
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care / management
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs

Medications :

• Continuous IV sedation
• Procedural Sedation Administration
• Titrate Cardiac drips
• Titrate Vasoactive drips

Respiratory / Thoracic :

• Assist with Chest Tube Insertion / Removal
• Assist with management of BiPAP
• Assist with management of CPAP
• Care of Ventilated Patient
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Ventilator Management

COVID Vaccination required.

All RTO must be on initial submittal. Please ensure all requested time off is included for entire length of contract.
